<B>1923-D S$1 MS66 NGC.</B></I> Effulgent mint frost radiates from the snow-white surfaces, producing instant eye appeal. A few small marks are noted on both sides, but they are too trivial to distract. According to Bowers, the '23-D was a rare date for awhile, before the Treasury released several Mint State bags of them in the fall of 1938. It is still a scarce issue at the Premium Gem level, and unavailable any finer.
