<B>1923-D $20 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The 1923-D, with a mintage just over 1.7 million pieces, is one of the most readily obtainable issues in the Saint-Gaudens series. Even MS66 coins are available with relatively little trouble. The situation changes at the MS-67 level, where only about 85 coins have been seen by PCGS and NGC combined, and a single piece finer. The current Superb Gem radiates dazzling luster, and is graced with gorgeous apricot-gold color imbued with traces of light green. Excellent detail on the design features has resulted from a powerful strike, and both sides are impeccably preserved.
