1923-D<$20> MS66 PCGS. According to gold coinage expert David Akers: "From the standpoint of sheer beauty, the 1923-D is at the top of the list as far as Saint-Gaudens twenties are concerned." This beautiful Premium Gem supports Akers' observation. Highly lustrous and boldly struck, the hallmark of this piece is its deep champagne-gold, terra cotta, and steel-gray coloration. Minimal surface marks include a couple in the right obverse field, below the branch in Liberty's hand. Housed in a PCGS holder with a green label.
