<B>1922-S $20 MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Dropped Edge Star Error. This error and similar ones was apparently created when detritus in the form of metal shavings and die grease filled a star opening in the die, hardened through repeated blows, and then was either moved on the die or fell onto the planchet as this coin was struck, to create a raised star shape that was then overstruck. The resultant incused star shape appears between the second and third rays of the sun above the date.
