1922-S $20 MS64 PCGS. All San Francisco gold issues struck after World War I are rare, and the 1922-S is no exception. More than 2.6 million pieces were struck, but most were presumably retained at the Treasury, and eventually melted more than ten years later to help fill Fort Knox with gold bricks. A couple thousand 1922-S double eagles survived, and these are in demand from the many collectors of the Saint-Gaudens series. This lustrous peach and aqua-green beauty is crisply struck and attractively preserved.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
