<B>1922 No D 1C Weak Reverse MS64 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> Housed in an older green-label holder, this example of the Weak Reverse variety is a remarkable piece with considerable orange mint luster on each side, blended with light brown and iridescent toning that is somewhat mottled on the reverse. PCGS currently recognizes 1922 Plain cents with either a Strong Reverse or a Weak Reverse, as well as examples of the 1922-D cent with either a strong mintmark or a weak mintmark. Regardless of variety, the 1922 Plain cents seldom come any finer than this example. The current PCGS population report (4/07) shows four MS64RB examples of the Strong Reverse, two MS65RB examples, and one MS64RD piece, as well as three MS64RD examples of the Weak Reverse variety.
