1922 No D 1C Strong Reverse XF40 PCGS. FS-013.2. Die Pair 2. An attractive example with intermingled tan and dark brown color on both sides. This is the strong reverse variety, the only true 1922 "Plain" cent. The Philadelphia Mint produced a one cent coin in every year from 1793 to 2007, with the exception of 1815 and 1922. Since all 1922 cents were coined in Denver, this variety gives collectors an opportunity to acquire a cent of the date without a mintmark.

Coin Engraver: Victor D.
