1922 No D 1C Strong Reverse--Struck 10% Off Cente
1922 No D<1C> Strong Reverse--Struck 10% Off Center--XF40 PCGS. FS-013.2. Die Pair #2. Struck moderately off center toward 12 o'clock, a portion of IN GOD WE TRUST is off the flan. The devices are fully present, although the lower left portion of the left wheat ear approaches the border. The L in LIBERTY and a few letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM are slightly distorted from unrestrained metal flow to the rim, as made and a characteristic of an off center strike. The 1922 No D Strong Reverse is obviously extremely rare struck off center, another example of similar sharpness may not exist. The undisturbed reverse has the details of a higher grade, a few faded obverse marks inflicted by a curious individual lead to a lower third party grade.
From The Tom Mershon #2 All-Time PCGS Registry Set of Lincoln Wheat Cents.
