1922 G$1 Grant with Star MS67 PCGS. Paul Gilkes, in a May 26, 1997 Coin World article, cites commemorative books by Anthony Swiatek and David Bowers, in saying that: " ... there appears to have been no special reason to place the star on the coin other than to appease the Grant Centenary Memorial Commission. It seems the Commission was hoping to reap additional profits to have a special mark on their coins like the Alabama and Missouri commemoratives ... ." The current Superb gem displays dazzling luster emanating from orange-gold surfaces that are immaculately preserved. A powerful strike brings out excellent definition on the motifs.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
