1922 G$1 Grant no Star MS65 PCGS. Like many commemoratives' stories, the epilogue of the Grant pieces is one of broken promises, as most of the improvements and monuments proclaimed by the distributors never materialized. Unlike the vendors, this piece delivers on its promise of strong eye appeal. Suitably struck overall with pleasing luster and blushes of rose and orange against a lovely honey-gold backdrop. Karl Stecher, Sr. purchased this piece for $3.00 from E.K. Washburn in December 1935. Accompanied by a collector's envelope marked "1922 $1.00 grant unc E.K. Washburn Dec 1935 $3.00."
From The Stecher Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
