Minted at the Denver Mint, this 1922-D Peace Dollar struck in .999 silver. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the obverse bears the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1922 below. The reverse depicts a powerful bald eagle perched upon a rock, grasping an olive branch in its talons, surrounded by radiant sunbeams, with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR and PEACE. The reverse bears "D" mintmark, denotating Denver facility. Enclosed in a cardboard holder. Holder measures: 2"L x 2"H. Coin diameter: 38.1 mm.
