1922 Cupar Baseball Team Cabinet Photograph with Eddie Shore. Terrifically scarce cabinet photograph finds a nineteen-year old future ice legend posing as a member of the Cupar baseball club in his Saskatchewan hometown. The remarkable image derives from the personal collection of Shore himself, and is presented with a letter of provenance from Shore's son. The Hockey Hall of Fame confirms that they have never encountered this image before, and there is every reason to believe that none others exist. The image area measures approximately 6x10", with the mount extending the total dimensions to 10x14". Each player is identified at the lower border, with "E. Shore" seated cross-legged at far left. Second from left is his brother, dressed in a dark suit and bowler hat. The image stands as one of the earliest known to picture this iconic hockey star, and is all the more desirable given the fact that it was Shore's own. A small stain at lower right mount is of no concern, and the piece otherwise presents no noteworthy condition flaws.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
