<B>1922 50C Grant with Star MS65 NGC.</B></I> The 1922 Grant Memorial half dollars (and the gold dollars) issued to honor the centennial of Grant's birth were not all that well received by collectors and the non-collecting public upon their release. The 85-year-old coins today, however, especially the starred obverse half dollars, are highly sought by collectors. This Gem example with Star displays highly lustrous, essentially untoned surfaces that exhibit sharply struck design elements.
