1922 50C Grant with Star MS64 NGC. According to Anthony Swiatek's Commemorative Coins of the United States (2001), the Grant with Star was the highest-priced of all U.S. silver commemorative halves in 1935, when a certain dentist decided to buy numerous Grant no Star pieces and incuse his own star! Fortunately, nearly all genuine examples show a clash mark around Grant's chin and just left of the G in GRANT, while the few examples produced before the dies clashed show a small raised pimple or lump of metal inside the star, just below the 9 o'clock location. This piece, aside from showing both genuine diagnostics, offers appealing silver-white surfaces with just a couple of small ticks on the portrait that preclude Gem consideration.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
