1922 50C Grant no Star--Minor Planchet Flaw at 8
1922<50C> Grant no Star--Minor Planchet Flaw at 8 O' Clock--MS67 PCGS. A tiny planchet lamination is located on the obverse rim to the left of the H in HALF. More important to the value of this coin, though, is the exceptional condition and original surfaces. The No Star is the more frequently encountered of the two variants of Grant halves, but in MS67 condition this is a very significant and highly desirable type coin. Even through the toning, the fields show the usual swirling die striations which impart a brightness to the fields. Each side is accented by moderate golden-gray and rose accents of color that deepen slightly in hue toward the rims. Essentially flawless with no obvious abrasions to the unaided eye.
