<B>1922 50C Grant no Star MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Laura Gardin Fraser, in designing the Grant half dollar and gold dollar, worked from one of many military-era photographs taken of him by Matthew Brady, the photographer <I>nonpareil</B></I> of the Civil War. Brady would later take a number of images of Grant as president. Lovely golden-brown toning appears on the obverse and light greenish-brown patina graces the reverse. A highly lustrous example with superior definition and excellent eye appeal.
