1921-S Buffalo 5C PCGS MS65
<Our item number 133497>1921-S Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded MS-65. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. A popular key date. All of this issue's coinage was made in the latter half of the year. It is doubtful that any coins were demanded by banks at the time. They were stored at the Mint until the coining of nickels resumed late in 1923. The production of nickels would be suspended in 1922 at this Western mint, only to be resumed in the latter months of 1923.

Very impressive cartwheel luster radiates serenely on satiny toned surfaces. A no-holds-barred key date in all grades, with Gems increasingly in demand. The present coin among the rarest in the buffalo nickel series. Softness in the relief (possibly from worn dies) is normal here. But bear in mind, the coin is just one of a few Gems certified by the grading service in its twelve years of existence! A coin certain to attract numerous bids. Housed in an old green holder. Pop 53; 8 finer in 66 (PCGS # 3948).
Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000.
The Harpeth Valley Collection.

Our item number 133497
<IMAGES>

</IMAGES>
