This piece lacks the planchet flaws, streaks, cuds, and grease stains often seen on this issue, the only mint-made flaws being a few wispy die cracks and occasional heavy metal flow. The striking details are considerably better than average, but the reverse shows some softness on the bison's head, as well as on the tail. Bright and highly lustrous, each side is toned an attractive light olive-gold color, and there are a minimal number of small contact marks, as expected for a Gem. Population: 16 in 65, 3 finer (7/03). </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><A name=PricesRealized></A><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" bgColor=#000000 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="100%"><TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=3 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="100%" bgColor=#79735c><A name=PR><FONT face=arial color=#ffffff size=3><B>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</B> </FONT></A></TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#f6f6ed><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width="33%"><B>Date</B></TD><TD align=middle width="33%"><B>Service</B></TD><TD align=middle width="33%"><B>Price</B></TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>02/12/2002</B></TD><TD width="33%">NGC</TD><TD width="33%">$3,565.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>05/31/2003</B></TD><TD width="33%">NGC</TD><TD width="33%">$5,290.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>08/17/1996</B></TD><TD width="33%">NGC</TD><TD width="33%">$2,530.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>01/06/1996</B></TD><TD width="33%">PCGS</TD><TD width="33%">$3,410.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>02/03/1993</B></TD><TD width="33%">PCGS</TD><TD width="33%">$3,025.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>01/01/1999</B></TD><TD width="33%">NGC</TD><TD width="33%">$3,335.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>06/01/1998</B></TD><TD width="33%">PCGS</TD><TD width="33%">$5,171.00</TD></TR><TR bgColor=whitesmoke><TD width="33%"><B>11/01/1997</B></TD><TD width="33%">PCGS</TD><TD width="33%">$3,630.00</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff><FONT face=arial size=1 ?>PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium.
