1921-S 5C MS63 PCGS. Satiny luster. Gunmetal gray 1921-S[5C] MS63 PCGS.
1921-S<5C> MS63 PCGS. Satiny luster. Gunmetal gray toning with delicate pink, gold, and blue iridescent highlights. A scattering of tiny flecks, which are all but invisible against the background of the gunmetal toning, accounts for the assigned grade. The strike is about average with softness visible on the highpoints of the Indian's hair and the buffalo's pelt. The dies show indications of erosion from long use. The 1921-S ranks among the most desirable issues in the entire Buffalo nickel series, and in terms of scarcity, closely follows the 1926-S and 1924-S at the MS63 level.
