1921 S$1 MS67 PCGS. Despite its reputation for commonness, the 1921 Morgan dollar in the highest Mint State grades is another animal entirely. The shallowness of the design is problematic, and many pieces show dull or grainy luster, according to Bowers. This piece does demonstrate some of the typical strike weakness, although limited to the lower wreath leaves on the reverse. The strike elsewhere is bold, and distracting marks are essentially absent. The satiny luster is generous over the untoned surfaces, and the entire ensemble represents one of the finest Morgan dollars of this issue obtainable, as PCGS has certified only 11 coins in MS67 grade, with none finer (4/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
