1921 (May-June) Manuscript notes by Hugh Kennedy KC regarding the arrest by the Black and Tans and his court martial in Limerick
manuscript, pp4
23 by 18cm., 9 by 7in.

Hugh Kennedy was later Attorney General to the Provisional Government of Ireland and Chief Justice of the Irish Free State. The notes are relating to a claim against the Crown on behalf of the arrested man, who was seized by the Tans while cycling between Quin and Ennis. Interesting argument of Common Law versus the Martial Law imposed in the area. The identity of the Plaintiff is not known.
