This is an antique 1921 LV Aronson piece depicting a Viking warrior or Norse god. Egyptian Revival. Fraternal/Masonic? Very rare. Detailed cast - very heavy solid metal (weighs more than 10 ounces). Marked on back "LV Aronson" and "1921" as well as "Made in USA." From a personal collection - we never have seen this Aronson figure before. Some kind of emblem - maybe was on a bookend. We've seen a similar LV Aronson Shriner design that was a hood ornament/radiator cap. SIZE: Approx. 4" wide and 4" tall. Louis Vincent Aronson was an American inventor, industrialist and philanthropist who is best remembered as the inventor of Ronson lighters. His company also produced a variety of high quality lamps, book ends, statues and other decorative items, prized today for their detail in the collector marketplace.
