1921-D 50C MS65 PCGS. This issue's original minta
1921-D<50C> MS65 PCGS. This issue's original mintage of 208,000 pieces is the lowest in the entire Walking Liberty Half Dollar series. Most representatives of this issue grade no finer than Fine, and Gem quality survivors such as the present specimen are more difficult to locate than their 1921-P counterparts. This coin is generally well struck, but the central obverse is a little softly detailed over the highpoints, and many of the eagle's trailing leg feathers are indistinct. We stress, however, that these features detract little from the fully frosted, blemish-free sheen on both sides. Both sides impart a satiny, snow-white appearance and only a couple of very minor marks are noted on Liberty's leg and the right obverse field. This is a strong candidate for inclusion in the finest Half Dollar collection. Population: 32 in 65, 3 finer (6/05).
