<B>1921 50C Missouri MS65 NGC.</B></I> The Missouri half dollar was conspicuous as to the absence of certain design elements. Specifically, it did not include the words LIBERTY or IN GOD WE TRUST or E PLURIBUS UNUM. This prompted <I>Numismatic News</B></I> writer Paul Green to say: "As a silver half dollar, it should have had those phrases, but did not, causing some to refer to it as the 'lawbreaker' coin." Both sides of this Gem specimen are awash in luster, and display a thin veneer of light beige-gold color.
