An extremely scarce letter complete with envelope addressed to "Joseph Montgomery Esq., 17 D'Olier St. Dublin". The letter sent by W. T. Cosgrave is addressed to "all holders of Decrees of Enemy Courts for Criminal and Malicious Injuries; To all who have or are about to secure 'Garnishee Orders', To Solicitors acting on behalf of such persons and to all others whom it may concern" and is clearly stated as a 'solemn warning' to those who "act as agents and instruments of the enemy".Joseph Henry Montgomery was a well known Dublin solicitor who ran the family business in Dublin from 1905. He was a specialist in Land Court work and died in 1941. See lot 247 & 290.
