1921 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The frosty, pristine ap
1921 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The frosty, pristine appearance of this immaculate key coin is immediately appealing. Ebullient luster beams forth from the untoned surfaces, unimpeded by significant abrasions, marks, or luster breaks. The tiny areas near Liberty's head that show shiny, prooflike qualities are due to what David W. Lange's Mercury dime reference calls "die burn," overpolishing of the dies. There is almost no weakness on the final 1 in the date, an almost unheard-of attribute. The crucial central bands are fully split and separate, and the lower diagonal shows just a touch of weakness. Mentionable abrasions are nonexistent. Lange's first edition (1993) rated this issue as an R.4 in Gem Full Bands condition. Population: 53 in 65, 33 finer (1/06).
