Peruvian circa 1920s- A Hand Made & painted beautiful clay pot with dark brown geometric designs on a soft pale yellow ground, very natural and interesting pot. Made by a tribe/culture called Shipibo. They live along the Amazon River in Northern Peru. The designs in their art appear in their textiles as well as some pottery, this is an early piece which is becoming more scarce.Measures: Approximately 4 5/8" tall by 4 3/8" wide and the opening is 2 1/4" diameter.Condition: Excellent; minor and tiny chips noted, no restorations.
