<td width="100%">
Circa 1920's - 1930's print of Fabiola by Jean Jacques Henner (French, 1829-1905) in original frame, from the House of Art in New York, measuring about 9.5 inches by 11.5 inches. The original of this work, now lost, was painted in 1895. It depicted Fabiola, a 4th century Christian saint, who had become popular in the mid-19th century. The painting has been copied hundreds of times by hundreds of artists in various media. This version, copyrighted "Campbell Prints, N.Y." looks to date to the twenties or thirties. The original blue, red, and gold painted wood frame sets off the red in Fabiola's lips and scarf nicely. On the back is a dark blue and white paper label, with a copyright symbol, "HOUSE of ART, 33 W. 34th St., NEW YORK." The PICTURE NO. is 9732, the FRAME NO. is 5324, and it is hand-labeled "Fabiola, Henner." It's a very nice piece, in very good condition, with light surface wear to the frame. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging / insurance will be $15.00.
