1920 Style Navy Luger Semi-Automatic Carbine with Shoulder Stock

This is a very nice custom restoration/assemblage of a post-World War I DWM Model 1920 Navy Luger carbine that is complete with a carbine style walnut stock. The 1920 Navy Carbines were originally assembled on a very limited basis by DWM in the post WWI era, with all being sold in the United States through two or three major importers or outlet stores like A. F. Stoeger, Abercrombie and Fitch or Bannermans. They were assembled on original Model 1914 Navy Lugers that were rebarreled to a carbine configuration and fitted with a carbine type stock. This example is a recreation of the rare 1920 Navy Luger. It has been fitted with a forend hanger on the front of the frame that has a custom 1920 style walnut forend installed along with a new Luger carbine style (length and configuration) barrel installed. The underside of the barrel has been stamped "GERMANY' to indicate export outside of Germany or Europe, along with a restamped "Crown/N" proof mark. It has been fitted with a new manufacture Navy style rear sight marked with "100/200" and renumbered to match the pistol. It has the blank chamber area with the script "DWM" logo on the front toggle and "GESICHERT and GELADEN marked safety and extractor. It is complete with one non-matching wooden base Navy magazine, that is stamped "1538" on the base. Also included is a recreation of a 1920 style Luger Carbine stock. Both have been recreated to duplicate the original 1920 Navy style components and the stock includes an original attaching iron.

Very fine as custom assembled/finished with most of the professionally applied blue finish. The various small parts retain 98% of the straw colors with only edge wear. The replacement walnut grips are very fine with nice distinct checkering. The walnut stock and forend are both fine with nice checkering.
