1920-S $10 MS60 NGC. According to Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, writing in the new Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins, 1795-1933: "This is the third-rarest date overall in the entire series, behind the coveted 1933 and 1907, Rolled Edge variety. Obviously, the three-year hiatus did little to drum up excitement for this series, and most of these entered circulation unnoticed soon after the time of issue." The current example exhibits admirable striking detail and pleasing, if slightly muted satiny luster. An interesting planchet lamination (as struck) occurs over the U in UNITED. Scattered small abrasions and a few moderate marks, on the lower left obverse, determine the numerical grade designation. Census: 3 in 60, 15 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
