<B>1920-D 5C MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1920-D Buffalo nickel is a less obtainable issue in any Mint State grade, and the propensity for poorly struck coins makes it especially challenging as a Gem. The attractive representative offered here is endowed with extraordinary sharpness, and highlighted in splashes of appealing orange-gold toning near the borders. It is an unusual occurrence for an auction to have two Gem 1920-D nickels, and for the collector this and the next lot present an opportunity to compare and contrast two of the finest examples known of this issue.
