A lustrous Gem with a good strike and exquisite surfaces. The reverse is struck from a heavily clashed die. A comparatively common issue in lower Mint State grades, but the vast majority of these pieces have been indifferently stored at one time or another. Population: 5 in 66, 0 finer (7/02).Ex: John Jay Pittman Collection (Akers, 5/1998), lot 1643, where it realized $8,800.
