<B>1920 50C MS65 PCGS.</B></I> This is quite an unusual coin. The Walking Liberty half series can be divided into two striking periods, 1916-1929 and 1933-1947. Specialists subdivide the series once again with the middle dates from 1933-1940 making a third group. Each of the major groups has distinctive strike and luster characteristics, and knowing these differences is what makes this coin so unusual. If the date were covered, this piece could be mistaken for a 1940-S or 1941-S. The mint frost is just that pronounced. Also, the striking definition is exceptionally strong for an early Walker. Brilliant throughout and free from any noticeable abrasions.
