1920 $20 MS64 NGC. Production of all gold coins ceased between 1917 and 1919. Double eagles were the first denomination resumed, in 1920. Among Philadelphia 1920s issues, the 1920 is scarcer than any of the 1922 through 1928 issues, but is available when compared with the rare 1921 and 1929. The present lightly abraded near-Gem is primarily orange-gold, but the left-side borders are lime-green. This attractive toning pattern explains NGC's star designation.

Coin Engraver: Augustus Saint-Gaudens

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
