<B>1919 World Series Original Photographs of Joe Jackson, Kid Gleason, Type 1.</B></I> One unsuspecting fan captured the pre-game action at Comiskey Park that fateful October of 1919, unaware that the sport's greatest scandal was unfolding before him. Note the patriotic bunting that decorates the grandstands in the two images of Jackson--these were only displayed during World Series games. And remember that the 1917 White Sox jerseys had a distinctive patch on the left sleeve, absent here. Each of the photos measures 3.25x4" in size, with blank back. Condition averages an amazing NRMT. A fine companion to the 1919 World Series tickets also in this auction.
