1919-S: John Dorusa, as one might guess, was not adverse to copying original carvings, most of which were done by George Washington "Bo" Hughes. Most of Bo's known works are illustrated in the two books on hobo nickels by Del Romines--this is another example. It depicts an Indian wearing a hat, with strengthened hair and feather. JD on neck. As with a good many of Dorusa's works, the coin has been lightly abraded on the obverse. An Average carving.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
