1919-S 50C MS64 PCGS. A spectacular example of the date, this near-Gem piece has natural ivory surfaces with traces of peripheral gold and iridescent toning. Both sides have unbroken satiny mint luster and pristine surfaces for the grade. It is probably only the weak strike at the centers that prevent a Gem grade determination. Both sides of this piece have considerable design weakness at the highest points, from Liberty's knee to the hand on the obverse, and at the opposing points of the reverse from the top of the left leg to the junction of the wing and body. Although several have been certified at this grade, and quite a few in higher grades, this example provides plenty of eye appeal for the discerning collector.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
