1919-S 50C MS64 NGC. Both sides of this near-Gem example show the usual weakness of design detail that is evident on nearly every known example of this issue. In fact, we doubt that there is such a thing as a fully struck 1919-S Walking Liberty half dollar. Gown lines are incomplete and Liberty's thumb is absent; however, the peripheral details are much more sharply defined. This specimen has full satin luster with surfaces that are graced by pale champagne toning. The surfaces are exceptional, more in line with Gem quality specimens than lower grade pieces. With a bit sharper strike, this piece probably would have received a Gem grade.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
