<B>1919-S 50C MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Despite a reasonable mintage of 1,552,000 pieces, the 1919-S ranks among the rarest issues in the series in Mint State. Collectors of the day concentrated on earlier series, and when coin folders arrived some years later, most remaining 1919-S halves were in Fine or lesser grades.
