<B>1919-S 1C MS65 Red NGC.</B></I> The 1919-S is not in the same strike rarity class as the 1918-S, but, as a rule, it is still a poorly defined issue with many of the 139.7 million coins produced having fallen from worn dies. As one might surmise from the condition under which this date was produced, the '19-S is not at all common in the finer Mint State grades, particularly with luster that is full and undiminished. Lovely orange luster ripples over both sides of this Gem quality survivor with a bright, attractive sheen. Abrasions are few, far between, and small in size, and the strike while not 100% complete, is well above average for the issue. NGC and PCGS combined report just 26 coins at the MS65 Red level, with a lone MS66 Red PCGS coin finer (7/07).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> Victor D.
