<B>1919-D 5C MS64 NGC.</B></I> The 1919-D is one of the more difficult issues to locate with a sharp strike, as the hair of the bison's head and the horn's tip are often indistinct, even on Gem pieces. On the present coin, crispness on the design elements is one of the first attributes to greet the viewer. The date and LIBERTY are bold, as is most of the Indian motif. The horn is well delineated, as is the bison's hair. Well preserved surfaces radiate bright luster, and are further enlivened with iridescent ice-blue, violet, and lavender toning.
