1919-D 50C MS63 PCGS. There is little doubt that the 1919-D half dollar is the rarest date in the entire Walking Liberty half dollar series in Mint State grades. It is also one of the most poorly struck issues in the entire series, and perhaps this accounts for its Mint State rarity. Even a brief period in circulation, not enough to actually exhibit any wear on fully struck pieces, could give a poorly struck coin the appearance of considerable wear.
This piece, in a green-label holder, exhibits considerable strike weakness at the center on each side, and also at Liberty's head. Both sides are fully lustrous with light champagne toning that deepens slightly near the borders.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
