The '19-D is very elusive in XF and better condition with strictly Uncirculated examples a rare opportunity for the Half Dollar specialist. The lack of complete striking details (as seen on this piece) is a consistent problem on this issue. The only coin that was ever reported to have complete definition was seen many years ago by the late James Pryor (identifiable by a circular dig on the head of Liberty). This piece shows the usual softness of strike on the highest portions of the design, and there are no distracting abrasions on either side.
