1919-D 50C MS63 ANACS. Though a number of issues have lower original mintages than the 1919-D Walker, this early branch mint half is one of the undisputed keys in Mint State, largely because few individuals saved examples from the production of 1.165 million pieces. Even MS63 pieces are conditionally scarce, and with many of the best examples firmly locked away in long-term collections, such pieces are even more elusive on the open market.
The surfaces of this Select representative display lovely blue-green, sage, and rose patina. Strongly lustrous beneath the toning with the usual softness at Liberty's head and hand and the eagle's breast and leg, though Liberty's face displays discernible detail. A pair of light abrasions at Liberty's lower forward leg define the grade. Despite the typical definition and marks, this piece displays better visual appeal than the majority of examples and would make a desirable addition to a similarly graded set.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
