Written in Irish for £5 by the famous Cork Irish Volunteers leader, later Lord Mayor of Cork and hunger strike martyr, to his sister Mary (Máire ní Shuibhne) signed "Toirdhealbhach mac Suibhne". Máire ran a school in Cork, was elected a Sinn Féin TD, vigorously opposed the Treaty and was one of the most uncompromising of the Republican women during and after the Civil War.
