1919 25C MS68 PCGS. This P-mint issue boasts the highest mintage of the three 1919-dated deliveries in the Standing Liberty quarter series. Coinage from 1919 has a certain cachet that few other dates from the 20th century possess. In most cases, the Mercury dimes, Standing Liberty quarters, and Walking Liberty half dollars possess lower original mintages than the preceding issues in their respective series. Striking problems also come into play, particularly for the branch mint deliveries. While the 1919-P quarter is not in the same league as the lower mintage 1919-D and 1919-S in terms of strike rarity, it is an eminently collectible issue that is obviously important for date purposes. One would be hard pressed to locate a more visually appealing representative of this issue, even if it did display Full Head detail. A true wonder coin. The luster is full and vibrant, with a swirling frosty sheen. Both sides are peripherally toned in original toning in vivid orange-red hues. With nary a distracting bagmark and a strike that is sharp except on a few isolated highpoints, this coin would grace the finest collection with its presence. Certified in a green-label holder. Population: 2 in 68, 0 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
