<B>1918-S 50C MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Each side has a moderate wash of auburn-gold coloration over lustrous, silvery surfaces. This piece is much sharper than the average example of this strike rarity, with a split thumb and delineated branches, hand, and head on Liberty. Perusal with a loupe reveals few mentionable abrasions, and it is likely only the somewhat subdued luster that precludes a Gem grade.
