This porcelain cabinet slipper is unmarked but is the very same designed shoe as is on page 64 of Collectible Glass Shoes by Wheatley, which includes porcelain and other materials as well. It is not as big but is about 6" long by 2 3/4". I know for sure that it is probably from the early 1900s. This one has nice embossing on both sides but the roses are only on one side, thus the name cabinet slippers. They were only viewed from one side in your cabinet. This is a beautiful slipper and in excellent condition. I bought this from a person I have been buying alot of pieces from in the last few months. All the items have been stored since the 1940s when his grandmother closed her antique shop in NJ and moved to Florida. It had never been unpacked or rewrapped until he brought it in in the original 1940s newspaper. Everything I have bought has been from the mid 1800s to early 1900s. Most of it mid to late 1800s. There is absolutely no doubt about this rare and wonderful piece.
