1918-D<1C> MS65 Red PCGS. A lustrous golden-red early branch mint Cent, essentially void of contact and with only minute carbon. The reverse periphery is blurry, as made, from a late die, but the quality of the strike is evident on Lincoln's face and shoulder and on the O in ONE and the AM in AMERICA, all of which are boldly struck on the present unlike often seen. Housed in an early, small-sized PCGS holder. Population: 27 in 65, 7 finer (8/05).
From The William Bickel Collection, Part Two.
