1918/7-S 25C XF40 Full Head PCGS. J.H. Cline, in his book on Standing Liberty Quarters, writes that "This overdate was caused by the recutting of a 1917 die. This recutting was practiced by all Mints in the late 1880's to 1890's; especially the silver dollars, such as the 1879 over 80, 1880-O over S, 1900-O over CC, etc." Hints of tan-gold and light gray toning occur on bright surfaces that display traces of luster in the recessed areas. Nice definition is noted on the design elements. Interestingly, this is the only XF40 Full Head specimen graded by either PCGS or NGC.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
